BC Customer Day 2023

BC Customer Day 2023 is behind us! How did the conference for IT.integro clients go?

On November 16th, we organized another edition of BC Customer Day.  The conference dedicated to our clients took place in the heart of Warsaw.  This year, its main goal was to familiarize attendees with the current development strategies of Business Central and the world of integrated applications, as well as highlight the changes in our working methods. Nearly 170 guests registered to participate!

In keeping with tradition, in addition to the conference sessions, there was also an evening full of excitement, including a joint dinner with the BC Customer Day 2023 awards ceremony.

BC Customer Day 2023

2 thematic tracks

In this edition, we introduced a new format for the conference. Some of the lectures took place as part of 2 separate thematic paths – one dedicated to business applications and the other devoted to the directions of cooperation. With this approach, we aimed to provide our clients the freedom to choose the most interesting sessions for them, and we could enrich the meeting agenda with more inspiring topics.

How is Business Central changing? Entering the era of artificial intelligence

During one of the first presentations, we discussed the direction in which Dynamics 365 Business Central is heading. Year after year, we observe the environment of add-on solutions growing intensively. Microsoft has been consistently investing in the development of an ecosystem of integrated solutions, and currently one of the topics that arouses considerable excitement is AI.

For this reason, we presented in more detail how artificial intelligence and the Copilot, based on it, add value not only to Business Central itself but also to Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform services. In the first case, it already supports, among other things, creating meeting summaries, text classification, content generation and moderation, sentiment analysis, translations, or email responses. We can also gradually leverage the expanding capabilities of the Copilot when creating applications in Power Apps, workflow automation in Power Automate, reporting in Power BI, and developing content and data structures in Power Pages.

The topic of artificial intelligence was also widely discussed during the November conference for Dynamics 365 Business Central partners, which we described in more detail in the article – Directions EMEA 2023: Will AI and Copilot transform the way we use Business Central?

Additional business applications continue to emerge

And this is precisely what we dedicated one of the thematic tracks to. On Microsoft AppSource – a platform gathering a variety of add-on solutions for Microsoft tools – there are already over 4,500 applications exclusively for Business Central. The selection is vast, and we contribute to it by currently offering more than 23 applications, some of which we had the pleasure of introducing to clients on November 16th. And more are still on the way!

However, the thematic path did not focus solely on our product portfolio. During sessions enriched with demos, we showcased the following solutions in action:

  •  Visual Advanced Production Scheduler – a graphical planning tool for manufacturing companies;
  •  Continia Document Capture for the digitization of purchase and sales documents;
  •  Microsoft Power BI – one of the most effective tools dedicated to advanced business analysis.

Time to upgrade

The transition to new versions of the system remained an essential topic. Microsoft’s policy regarding product maintenance and support should serve as an incentive for users to decide on an upgrade. New versions of Dynamics 365 Business Central are released twice a year, and their support period is shorter than before. Therefore, the goal of our presentation was to convey the best practices and proven transition scenarios to the latest version of Business Central.

A unique evening with the BC Customer Awards ceremony

In accordance with tradition, BC Customer Day 2023 did not solely encompass the conference sessions. In the evening, we gathered with our clients at one of Warsaw’s most renowned restaurants – Baila Show & Dining, to share reflections and inspirations for the future in a relaxed atmosphere.

The dinner was enhanced by a performance by a jazz band and another edition of the BC Customer Awards ceremony, during which we recognized winners in 4 categories for companies and 1 individual category.

Once again, we would like to congratulate and thank the following companies for their exceptional cooperation so far:

  • BLIK – for the decision to implement an extensive installation utilizing the broad capabilities of the One Microsoft ecosystem,
  • Radaway – for the courage and determination in implementing digital innovations,
  • AVK – for the extensive use of IT.integro applications,
  • Burda Media Polska – for the masterful execution of the project in line with project methodology and principles,
  • and to Ms. Magdalena Furs from Gi Group, the winner in the category of Business Personality of the Year.

And, of course, we extend our gratitude to all the guests of BC Customer Day 2023 for allowing us to build a shared future with you based on inspiring technologies!
