The Directions EMEA 2022 conference took place in Hamburg on November 9-11, 2022. The conference is the biggest Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Partner event, which we attended this year as a Gold Sponsor. The Gold Sponsorship role was an opportunity to promote the package of our applications – Global Integration Apps. This year’s conference was attended by as many as 3.000 guests. What did we learn this time? Let’s see!
Global Integration Apps – applications for company groups and international organizations
This year, we were a Gold Sponsor of the Directions EMEA conference. On the first conference day, our ISV Session presentation gathered an audience of nearly 450 participants (!). During this presentation, our three experts – Tomasz Golis, Michał Zdanowicz and Krzysztof Zieliński – explained how our three global applications work and integrate. The apps were showcased during a special demo presentation titled “Master data management and intercompany trade in multi-site companies | DEMO: 3 apps”.
The speakers briefly introduced the history of Cronus, the company that is well-known to Business Central users, and they presented technical details of the three solutions – Master Data Management System, Advanced Intercompany and Intercompany Insights, which together constitute our Global Integration Apps package. Big day – Day 2 of Directions EMEA 2022 and Keynote
The Cronus company was mentioned not only during the ISV session. During the second day of the conference, 3000 attendees watched the President of the Board of IT.integro, Piotr Śledź and Tomasz Golis on the keynote stage. Our experts presented the history of international expansion of the Cronus company and explained, how much groups of companies and global organizations that work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central can benefit from implementing our Global Integration Apps. The keynote stage was also a place where the legendary bicycle, known to all system users as item No. 1000 was shown.
The famous bicycle was the prize at the contest that we organized for conference participants.
IT.integro’s team was very busy during this three-day conference. We were meeting other attendees at our booth, where we talked about cooperation perspectives and thoroughly answered all questions about Global Integration Apps.

More that 250 sessions and 130 speakers at Directions EMEA 2022
During Directions EMEA 2022, we took part in many inspiring lectures and, of course, we couldn’t miss presentations delivered by Microsoft. Conference sessions were led by 55 speakers from Microsoft and 80 speakers from the Dynamics 365 community. It is worth noting that the new Women in Dynamics initiative highlighted the dynamically growing presence of women among the speakers – from 4% to 32% within one year!
What makes it even more remarkable is that this year marks 20 years since Microsoft replaced Navision.
What’s new in Dynamics 365 Business Central?
As we could learn during the first day of the conference, Dynamics 365 Business Central is one of the two fastest growing Microsoft Business App products! The online system version is available in 102 locations and Microsoft plans further expansion onto the African market.
The system is offered and supported by the largest number of Microsoft Partners among all Microsoft products and the number of products available for Business Central on the AppSource platform outnumbers the rest of the products.
On the first day of the conference, we learned about system development plans for the next year. The 2023 release wave is an investment in the areas of Power Platform, financial reporting including Power BI (including API); finance and supply chain management with in-product Shopify integration; tools for developers as well as integration with MS Teams.
On the second day, during his presentation, Ryan Cunningham proved how strong Power Platform and Power Apps role is on the low code applications market. During the last 12 months, 2 billion profit increase and 72% raise has been reported for the platform on a yearly basis.
“Do more with less” – higher efficiency of implementations
Microsoft declared it will continue development of the Onboarding functionality, which corresponds to the mission statement of the conference “Do more with less”. In the nearest future, developers will mostly be focusing on boosting system efficiency by improving automatization, cost estimability and scalability.
Many speakers emphasized the increasing popularity of telemetry and its usability at customers’ installations. Yet, telemetry is another area of development aimed at providing system administrators with real time monitoring and extensive issue diagnostics as tools for improving system productivity.
It was a remarkable experience to take part in this event that is so well-recognized among the whole Dynamics community. Being a Gold Sponsor made it even more exceptional!
